Thanks to a maskless young crook, Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles has a new slogan: “Chicken so good you’ll steal it!”
A young fella, out there in Pasedena, California, got a taste so bad for some of ol’ Roscoe’s chicken and waffles that he stole the chicken from Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles.
“Put the chicken in the bag,” is what Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles Manager Angela Prieto told the folks over at The LA Times that the young crook said as he held the cook at gunpoint.
The cook, however, didn’t just “put the chicken in the bag.” The cook just stood there, staring, trying to figure out if that fella was really using a gun to rob them of chicken.
Due to the young fella not having time for a stare down, he went back in the kitchen and got his chicken. After getting his chicken, the young fella went on about his business of satisfying his taste buds.
The folks over at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles believe their mask policy, which simply says “No Mask. No Service,” is why the maskless crook pulled out his gun to get some chicken.
Knowing the young folks and how they think, the young fella more than likely said to himself, “Fine, you want me to come up in here looking like Ricky Smiley from Next Friday then I’ll be Ricky Smiley from Next Friday. Ho ho ho, muthafuckas! Early Merry Christmas. Put me some fresh fried chicken in the bag. Cluck, cluck, hurry up muthafuckas!”
The police have not found the maskless young crook whose taste for ol’ Roscoe’s chicken was so overwhelming that it made him stick up the place.
The police wants anybody who recognizes Roscoe’s mask less chicken thief to call 626-744-4620.
Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles opened its first restaurant in 1975. Some 45 years later, there are 8 Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles throughout the Los Angeles and Orange County areas.
